Casey Irving
I am an Associate for West Point Thoroughbreds, and I work in the Saratoga Springs, NY office. My job can be broken into two separate parts that ultimately complement each other quite well. Chiefly, I communicate with all the new and interested people that come to us; if you visit our website and are interested in ownership, most likely you will be hearing from me! Additionally, I serve as the database administrator for our CRM system. Utilizing our database to the best of its power enables us to market our product and provide our customers with the gold standard of client service.
Education:
- I have my BS in Communications and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University.
- Currently pursuing my MBA in the evening program at SUNY Albany.
A little about me:
- I was a four-year member of the women’s varsity 8+ on the Syracuse Rowing Team. I have four medals from the BIG EAST championships (which are now collector’s items as Syracuse joined the ACC).
- There is a 98% chance my March Madness bracket will have Syracuse in the final four, if not winning it all, for the foreseeable future.
- I wake up early every (weekday) morning to work out. During the Saratoga Meet this year, Terry even joined in on the fun. I will not disclose who is stronger, faster, or more agile.
- I enjoy cooking and using locally-grown ingredients whenever possible.
- My family traces its roots back to Saratoga for five generations. Two businesses that are still operating in Saratoga were started by my grandfather in the 1940’s.
- West Point Thoroughbreds is a great company to work for. What we do is unique, and we are always around people who are on vacation! The company has a great family-friendly feel to it, and it fosters an environment where everyone is free to share their ideas, questions or concerns. Add in the excitement and passion of racing, and you’ve got quite the unique job setting. People ask me all the time – especially during the Saratoga Meet – how can I get a gig like this?
