Bid For Silver extended her win streak to three going wire to wire in the 40k claimer for three-year-old fillies on October 21st at Woodbine. Breaking from the rail, Bid For Silver got away alertly and went to the front under Corey Fraser. She was pressed from the outside leading by a head through a quarter-mile in 23.3 and a half-mile in 47.4. Bid For Silver remained on a contested lead digging in through six furlongs in 1:13.2. When the field straightened away in the stretch, Bid For Silver kicked clear of the rest of the field pulling away by four-lengths after a mile in 1:40.4. Fraser kept Bid For Silver to task late winning by just under five-lengths and covering the mile and a sixteenth in 1:47.4.
This was Bid For Silver's third win in four races at Woodbine and four in twelve career starts. She earned $28,980 ($24,601 US) for her win which pushes her career earning over $90K.
