OLLIE JET WINS FOR FUN IN DEBUT!!!

December 01, 2006 · By · Share

Ollie Jet won for fun in his debut on December 1st at the Fair Grounds. Ollie got out of the gate well and took the lead going into the turn. He opened up a significant lead turning for home and proved to be the best winning by over three lengths.

Dallas Stewart said, "Everything came together today. Everybody worked hard for Ollie's debut and it showed. I could not have hoped for a better debut from him. Ollie has a bright future and today was a great first step."

Jockey Lonnie Meche commented on how professional Ollie was. "He acted like an old pro in the post parade and stood in the gate like he had done it many times before. I was just going to sit on him out of the gate but he went to the lead all on his own. I love his long stride. He could not have been any better today!"

Ollie Jet earned $23,400 for his effort today. Not a bad way to start out a very promising career.
