Dream Rash favored in Prioress(G1)

July 06, 2007 · By · Share

Dream Rush is the favorite in the $250,000 Prioress Stakes(G1) going six furlongs on July 7th at Belmont.  She has drawn post nine out of nine with Eibar Coa, who rode Dream Rush to victory in the Nassau BC(G2), in the irons. Dream Rush enters the Prioress off of a second place finish in the Acorn Stakes(G1) last time out.  A multiple graded stakes winner that has finished first or second in all six of her career races, Dream Rush has recorded back-to-back 100 plus Beyer figures in her last two starts.  She is the only filly in the race to have earned a triple digit Beyer figure.

West Point Thoroughbreds President Terry Finley said, "We believe this filly is one of the top few in the country.  She got beat by a filly that ran an unbelievable race in the Acorn, but we were over eight-lengths clear of the rest of the field.  Our filly ran a great race, and she has trained incredibly heading into this race.  We finally drew an outside post position, so we'll be able to monitor what's going on.  We expect her to run very well."
