Dream Rush looks to pass Test(G1)

August 02, 2007 · By · Share

When you win three graded stakes in a year and never finish worse than second in any of your career starts, people will want to take you down.  Such is the case this Saturday as twelve fillies will look to dethrone our three-year-old Grade 1 winner Dream Rush in the $250,000 Darley Test at Saratoga.

Dream Rush drew post seven of thirteen in the race and will partner with jockey Eibar Coa once again.  Dream Rush enters the Test off of a convincing score in the Grade 1 Prioress at Belmont in July.  With three consecutive 100 plus Beyer figures, Dream Rush will be the prohibitive favorite once again.

Favoritism is a position that trainer Rick Violette does not mind.  Violette said, "She's obviously a special filly.  Anyone that hooks her will do so at her own risk.  She's fast, and she outran some very fast fillies in her last race.  The Test is a very special race.  It is one of the premier races for three-year-old fillies, and we really want to win it."

Post time on Saturday for the Test is 5:14 EDT, and the race will be televised live on ESPN.
