Busy Weekend for the WPT Stable

Exciting Weekend as Eight Horses Will Run

It may be just the first weekend in February, but the West Point Thoroughbreds' stable is all systems go as eight of our horses will head to the starting gate this weekend.

On Thursday, Lieutenant Ron kicks things off, as he looks to get back on track in an allowance race at Gulfstream Park.  Then a little later, Smile Down On Me will look to notch his first career win in a MSW at the Fair Grounds.

Saturday is shaping up as a rather exciting day for the WPT team as four horses head to the post, beginning with Drowning Bear in the 7th race at Aqueduct- an allowance race to be run at six furlongs.  Don't blink because shortly thereafter, Celestial Diamond will look for his second career win in a mile allowance event at Philadelphia Park.

From there, we look to the west as the speedy Cantankerous Clyde  makes his highly anticipated debut in a MSW at Santa Anita.  The day is finished off on our side when Like A Butterfly returns to the racetrack in an allowance race at the Fair Grounds.

Then, on Sunday, Tapit's Brew gets back on the turf in a MSW at Gulfstream in the third race.  And last, but certainly not least, Izzy Fitzy looks to win his second straight start to begin his racing career at Philadelphia Park.

"It's exciting for us to have all of these horses doing so well right now.  We feel fortunate that the stable is doing well and we're obviously looking forward to the next couple of days," said WPT President Terry Finley.
