Tuesday:
Beloved Deputy
breezed a good half-mile in 49 flat at Hollywood.  She went by herself.  She is a good workhorse, so this was exactly what Craig wanted.  She is on target to return to the starting gate in the next condition book which would have running in early March.

Cantankerous Clyde breezed a sharp half-mile in 47.60 at Hollywood.  Like Craig said, "He is a naturally fast horse."  He really has not missed a beat since returning and is on target to run in early March.

Feed A Fever worked an easy five furlongs in 1:01.60 at Hollywood.  Craig just wanted a maintenance breeze from Feed A Fever.  We enter Thursday for the starter allowance going a mile on a turf on Sunday, February 14th at Santa Anita.

Mesa Thunder breezed a sharp half-mile in 48.80 at Hollywood.  Craig called the work "stellar" and said that Mesa Thunder was extremely professional.  If all goes according to schedule, Craig believes that Mesa Thunder should run around the middle of March.

Rereadthefootnotes breezed a beautiful half-mile in 48.10 at Belmont.  Mike Hushion is thrilled with the way Reread came out of his last race, and he could not be doing better physically.  We are on target for the $65,000 Hollie Hughes Handicap on February 15th at Aqueduct.

The Defense Rests breezed a strong five-furlongs in company with another horse in 1:02.88 at Belmont.  Mike Hushion said that our colt did not get tired at all.  He commented that The Defense Rest's muscle tone looks amazing after a month of breezes.  He thinks that we are only two works away from running.  If all goes well we will be in the starting gate in about three weeks.

Monday:
Camp Victory
blew out a sharp half-mile in 46.60 at Santa Anita.  Carla wanted to get some air into his lungs prior to Friday's race.  He went very well, and we are set for the six furlong "a other than" allowance on February 12th at Santa Anita.

Sunday:
Bellhouse breezed an easy half-mile in 50 flat at Palm Meadows.  Tom Albertani's assistant commented that Bellhouse still has quite an independent attitude.  He'll be very professional when asked then start looking around.  It's similar to how Macho Again was as a young horse.  He would get so distracted that they'd have to put blinkers on him before he'd walk to the paddock.  Bellhouse shows similar flashes of brilliance but has not yet learned to behave like a racehorse every day.

Tapit's Brew breezed a good three furlongs in 37.40 at Palm Meadows.  Tom Albertrani's assistant said it was another excellent move.  He is moving very well.  He should be ready to go another half-mile in short order.

Saturday:
Merus Miami
breezed a good seven furlongs in 1:27.60 at Golden Gate.  O.J. Jauregui was pleased with the work.  He has decided to bypass the race this upcoming weekend because he wants to get one more long breeze into Merus Miami before sending him two turns.  He'll breeze again this week.  If the "two other than" allowance does not go this week and does not come back until next week then O.J. thinks we would be able to make that race.  If not, then the backup race would be the next one in the book on March 6th at Golden Gate.

Friday:
Awesome Gem worked a bullet three furlongs in 36:40 this morning at Hollywood Park. The work was best of 7 at the distance. Once again, this was a fantastic work. Craig thinks this horse has come back better than ever. He will breeze a half mile next week.

Cinco De Mayo Mio
worked three furlongs in 39:90 at Palm Meadows. Tom Albertrani reports that she went easily throughout and moved well. Tom will slowly start increasing the intensity of her speed work.  She will have one or two more three furlong breezes before starting to go a half mile. We are likely looking at a late March/early April debut for this filly.

Fitz Just Right worked an easy half mile in 52 this morning at Palm Meadows. This was her first four furlong breeze since returning to training. Tom had her go nice and easy, and wanted nothing more than a leg stretcher. He was very pleased and reports that she went well throughout.  Fitz remains on a regular breeze schedule.

Hey Hey Mama worked three furlongs in 39:80 at Palm Meadows. Tom Albertrani reports that she went very nicely. He has not asked for too much speed from her yet, but he will gradually start increasing the intensity of her speed work.  Tom is very high on this filly and maintains that she should be in the starting gate at the end of March/early April.

Justwhistledixie worked a maintenance four furlongs in 50:40 at Payson Park. The work was 5th of 7 at the distance. Bill Mott reports that she went easily throughout and finished up well. He just wanted to get some air into her lungs and stretch her legs. We are taking dead aim on the $100,000 Sabin Stakes (G3) at one mile on February 27th at Gulfstream. Dixie's eye has been sensitive over the past few days, but it is not anything serious and Bill Mott is treating it. It will not interrupt her training schedule.

Middle Of The Nite worked a solid five furlongs in 1.01:70 this morning at Palm Meadows. The work was 4th of 25 at the distance.  Tom Albertrani was extremely pleased with the effort and reports that we are "all systems go" for the $200,000 Sam Davis Stakes on February 13th at Tampa Bay Downs. Let the Derby fever begin.

Mine For Love breezed a bullet half-mile in 47 flat at Philadelphia.  The work did not get picked up by the clockers, but Lupe reports that he went by himself and finished nicely.  The work got pushed up a day to beat the heavy snow.  Lupe reports that Mine For Love is moving well after having accupuncture to treat the bulled muscle in his rear end.  We should be back on a regular breeze schedule with an anticipated March debut.

Mr. Fantasy worked an easy four furlongs in 53:00 this morning at Palm Meadows. Mike was extremely pleased with the work and reports that Mr. Fantasy went very easily. He is moving very well and has really muscled up over the past few weeks. His coat is shiny and he has given us every indication so far that he will return to the races and perform better than ever.  He will continue on a regular breeze schedule with the tentative plan to run at Aqueduct in April.

South Bronx worked a very easy four furlongs in 52:09 at Belmont over the training track.  Mike had him go slow by design, as he just wanted a leg stretching work. South Bronx cooled out well after the effort.  Mike has not pinpointed a specific spot but we are considering two NY Bred 15k claiming races. We will either run on February 20th or February 27th at Aqueduct. The race on February 20th is one mile and 70 yards, and the race on February 27th is six furlongs. As we get closer, Mike will decide which spot he would like to point for.
