 Monday:

Boulder Creek worked a stamina building six furlongs in 1.13:00 on Monday at Hollywood. The work was 2nd of 10 at the distance. Craig was very pleased with the work and said that this colt cooled out well after the effort. We are pointing for an "a other than" allowance going 8.5 furlongs on the turf on May 19th at Hollywood. Click here for a video taken of Boulder Creek last week at Hollywood.

Smile Down On Me worked four furlongs in 48:44 on Monday at Philadelphia. The work was 2nd of 10 at the distance.  Lupe was pleased with the work and reports that Smile Down On Me is moving well.  However, he made some sound coming off the track today, so Lupe scoped him.  Smile Down On Me scoped with a significant amount of mucus.  The vet recommended giving him a five day run of antibiotics.  That would push a possible start back into the later part of May.

Sunday:

Edenise breezed four furlongs in 49:80 on Sunday at Golden Gate. OJ called the work "routine."  OJ is pointing him for a 12.5k maiden claimer for three-year-olds on May 26th at Golden Gate.

Saturday:

Awesome Gem worked a solid four furlongs in 48:20 on Saturday at Hollywood. The work was 9th of 38 at the distance.  Craig reports that he went very nicely throughout the work and cooled out well. We are on target for the $300,000 Lone Star Park Handicap on May 31st at Lone Star.

Too Wild For Words had his first official work since joining Wayne Catalano's barn on Saturday at Arlington. He covered four furlongs in 50:60. Wayne had him work in company with an older horse who has won a few races, and Too Wild For Words kept with him throughout the work. Wayne reported that he was a bit green down the lane, but finished with a lot of energy. He is still carrying some extra weight, but Wayne is confident that he will shed the pounds now that he is back on a regular work schedule.

Cinco De Mayo Mio worked an easy half mile in 50:00 on Saturday at Monmouth Park.  Tom had her go nice and easy by design since this was her first race back since her win. She seemed to handle the Monmouth surface very well.  We remain on target for the 6 furlong "a other than allowance" on May 30th at Monmouth.

Friday:

The Whammer worked four furlongs in 48:20 on Friday at Hollywood Park. The work was 6th of 25 at the distance. Craig was pleased with the effort and said The Whammer is doing very well physically. We expect him to run by the end of the month.

Majestic Peak worked four furlongs in 49:40 on Friday at Hollywood Park. Craig reports that he went easily throughout and cooled out fine. He is on track to run in late May or early June. Click here for a video of Majestic Peak taken last week at Hollywood.

Belle of The Hall worked four furlongs in 48:65 on Friday at Belmont Park. The work was 19th of 49 at the distance. Tom was pleased with the work and reports that we are all systems go for the "a other than" allowance going 7 furlongs on May 23rd at Belmont.

Phosphorescent worked four furlongs in 48:40 on Friday at Philadelphia. The work was not picked up by the clockers, however it would have been 3rd of 15 at the distance. Lupe was pleased with the work and we are all set for the "a other than" allowance on May 14th at Pimlico. Ramon Dominguez has the mount.

Mr. Fantasy worked a good four furlongs in 50:40 on Friday at Monmouth. Mike had him go nice and easy by design, and said the work was nothing more than a leg stretcher. Mike is very happy with how Mr. Fantasy moves over the Monmouth strip. We are on target for the $100,000 Decathalon Stakes at Monmouth on opening day, May 22nd.
