Belle of the Hall In Catinca Stakes on Wednesday
West Point Thoroughbreds’ talented three-year-old filly Belle of the Hall returns to action on Wednesday, October 27th in the 6 ½ furlong, $70,000 Catinca Stakes at Belmont Park. Earlier this year, our chestnut daughter of Graeme Hall won three straight races, including the $200,000 Jostle Stakes at Philadelphia Park, before running a very solid third in the Grade 1 Test at Saratoga. We hope to use the Catinca as a springboard to further graded stakes action as we move into the fall season.
Trainer Tom Albertrani says, "Her last race at Charles Town was a bit of a head scratcher. I think we can toss it out and expect a big effort on Wednesday. She has been training very well, and knows she likes Belmont after her allowance win here in May."
Terry Finley, president of West Point Thoroughbreds says, "We think this is a great spot to get our filly another win. There are some well regarded opponents in here, but we are going in with a lot of confidence. She had a great spring and summer campaign, and we think the future is bright."
Belle Of The Hall has three wins from five career starts, and earnings just over $201,000. The Catinca is race 8 at Belmont on Wednesday with a 4:43 post time. We are #8 of 12 with regular pilot Ramon Dominguez aboard.
