Congratulations to West Point Thoroughbreds racing partnerships trainer Dale Romans and his team for a dramatic win at Pimlico Saturday in the 136th running of the Preakness Stakes. It was Dale's first Preakness Stakes and triple crown classic race victory.

A crowd of 107,398 watched Shackleford drive home first by a half-length with Jesus Castanon aboard carrying the silks of Mike Lauffer and William Cubbedge. The place horse was Kentucky Derby winner, Animal Kingdom, trainer by another WPT trainer, H. Graham Motion.

Romans trains West Point racing syndicate horses Virtuously, Currahee Assault, Dancing Compass, Mr. Tribute, Midnight Arch, and Suns Out Guns Out, a two-year-old Empire Maker colt who has been turning heads at Churchill Downs and is expected to begin logging official works in the next two weeks.

Winning the Preakness is great, which was won by a great trainer, Dale Romans. Congratulations for a great victory!!! From Albert Pumila, a WPT partner with Dancing Compass and Currahee Assault. What a great traniner to have training our horses. Good luck in the future.
I'm always following your horses and had big hopes for KC in the Preakness. I want to add my congrats to Mr. Romans on his Preakness win. I see he also trains one of my favorite WP horses Mr. Tribute. By the way where is Mr. Tribute, I haven't seen him lately on your racing lists?
Thanks for the well wishes. Mr. Tribute is training on a farm after a brief vacation.
