Watch Videos of Yearlings Training

December 11, 2015 · By Erin Birkenhauer · Share

The WPT team is back from a trip to Camden, South Carolina and carrying precious cargo -- the first glimpses of our newbies in training.

There’s a little bit left of a few of these youngsters. Looking for a special gift for a loved one? No problem, we can keep it a secret until Christmas :).

Super Saver filly/Harlan Showgirl filly (Mike Stidham)

Super Saver is hot, hot, hot. He sired two grade one winners at Saratoga this summer, including Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner Runhappy.

This filly is an absolute star. Everyone loved getting to know her back at the barn, she’s got a great disposition. Several Partners jumped in on her right away after watching her train. Click here to learn more about her.

Gemologist/North Lake Jane colt (Dallas Stewart)

Every year we find one to send to our West Point trainer with Triple Crown seared into his brain. This is the yearling going to Dallas Stewart, and he looks the part.

Looking for a reason to visit New Orleans? This is your colt. Click here to learn more about him.

American Lion/Esconce colt (Tom Albertrani)

Empire Dreams is the latest New York-bred to earn six figures for West Point. It pays to be a part of the statebred program with the right horse.

This colt will be named Boundtobeking (naming contest winner) and is another grandson of Tiznow. He trained with the Hansen and Elusive Quality colts and bows his neck like a good horse when he gallops. Click here to learn more about him.
