FULLY SYNDICATED

Terry on Foostepsinthesand filly: “This is one rough, tough girl. She’s pretty and elegant, but has that ‘bring it on’ attitude about her. I like to see fillies with some pep in their step like that. She was the filly at the Goffs Sale in Ireland that struck me the most. She’s got a great walk and a very strong hip, two things I really like to see in yearlings. She’s a top, top prospect.”

Jeff Lifson on Footstepsinthesand filly: "This gal is super athletic. I love to see a filly with some meat on her bones. We like the pedigree, and she's got a tremendous amount of upside."

  • Drop dead gorgeous filly by the successful young stallion Footstepsinthesands, winner of the Killavullan S. (G3) and the classic Ultimatepoker.com Two Thousand Guineas (G1) beating Rebel Rebel easily with the sensational young sire Dubawi only fifth.
  • Footstepsinthesand has sired 11 stakes winners in his first two crops, eight of them group stakes winners, including the high-class runners Steinbeck, Shamalgan, and Chachamaidee.
  • Like this filly,  seven of his 11 stakes winners are out of Northern Dancer line mares.
  • She is the fourth foal of the unraced Grape Tree Road mare Haute Volta, whose first foal, Super Motiva by Motivator, another Northern Dancer line sire, won her first four starts in Italy including stakes at two and three at around a mile. The mare's second foal, a filly by Hurricane Run, is also a winner.
  • Haute Volta is half sister to Irish Group 1 winner Heart of Darkness, by Glint of Gold, from a great family nurtured mostly by the late Paul Mellon that includes leading sire Elusive Quality and Group 1 or Grade 1 winners Gold and Ivory, Anees, and Grand Couturier.
