This big, good looking Flatter colt worked really, really fast at the OBS April sale, and he's a beautiful mover, but he came out of the work with real sore shins and the consignor, Ricky Leppala scratched him. Buzz Chace and Mike Shannon really liked him, so when Ricky called us after the sale we bought him.We've had good luck with our Flatter colt Flat Bold, and we think he's an underrated sire. A beautifully bred son of A.P. Indy who is full brother to the top stakes winner Congrats, Flatter won four of six starts and ran third in the Washington Park Handicap(G3), but suffered a career ending injury before he had a chance to show just how good he really was.
Flatter has gone a long way toward proving his quality at stud, with 11 stakes winners in his first two crops, led by graded stakes winners Tar Heel Mom, Single Solution, and Jack o' Lantern. This colt is bred just like Flatter's second leading earner, the tough sprinter Pashito the Che, who is also out of a mare by a son of Fappiano.
This colt's dam, Glamorama, by Unbridled, has already produced a winner, and is half sister to $143,000 stakes winner Lipstick, by Smarten. The second dam, Porzikova, by Polish Navy, is half sister to stakes winners Ali'lbito'reality and Trunk, and to the dam of the high-class filly Two Item Limit.
