Lear's Princess

Tantalizingly close to capturing numerous Grade 1 races in the summer of her 3-year-old season, Lear's Princess finally ascended to the royal throne when she defeated Rags to Riches, the 2007 Belmont Stakes winner, in the Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes at Belmont Park. In the spring of 2008, her training was interrupted in order to recover from an injury. She retired at the end of the year and sold for $2.7 million dollars as a broodmare prospect at Fasig Tipton Kentucky sale.

Terry Finley:
"Lear's Princess' win in the Grade 1 Gazelle was as exciting as they come. We're excited to see her foals hit the racetrack."
