What a day we had yesterday at Gulfstream Park.  Our Kentucky Oaks-bound filly, Justwhistledixie, made it five in a row by winning the Bonnie Miss going nine furlongs.  She's now won stakes going six, seven, eight and nine furlongs.  We've never had such an accomplished horse this early in the three year-old year.

Congrats to her partners and hope we have a great month setting our sights on the first Friday in May.

Earlier this week, Joe Drape of the New York Times wrote an article about how little racing has done to reform in the year since the breakdown of Eight Belles after the Derby.

Joe's a friend of mine – that being said, I don't know how he could have made some of the points he made.  The racing industry, in particular the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), has done very good and effective work over the last eleven months.

Alex Walthrop, head of the NTRA, wrote a rebuttal to Joe's article on his blog earlier this week.

You can take a look at both articles by clicking here:

Finally, earlier this month, Bruce Casella, who does much of our video work, was at Gulfstream Park for Justwhistledixie's Davona Dale win. Thought you might like the Youtube clip he did profiling two of our partners – who just happen to be father and son.

Have a good week.
