An interesting week in racing to say least.  On Sunday, I listened all day to the comments, claims and counterclaims of the owners of Pioneer of the Nile and Mine That Bird.

What a bunch of bunk.  I am very glad the mess got squared away and no one will attempt to keep Rachel Alexandra out of the Preakness.  She is a wonderful filly and deserves a chance to run in the second leg of the Triple Crown.
The great thing about our game is we settle all of our scores on the racetrack.

We've had a rash of injuries over the last four weeks in our stable.  In fact I'm not sure we've ever had such a tough run of bad luck.  We know this is a cyclical matter and we will redouble our efforts to make sound and smart decisions in managing these horses
What a race the Preakness could turn out to be.  Don't count out Mine That Bird – he could very well prove the Derby was not a fluke.
Until next week,
Terry
