Grand Victor broke his maiden in his debut this afternoon by over six lengths in wire to wire fashion at Ellis Park.  Breaking from the rail, Grand Victor was bumped a bit at the start but quickly rocketed up on the inside under confident handling from jockey Rafael Bejarano.  A quarter-mile in Grand Victor had extended his advantage to a commanding six length lead.  The first quarter went in a sharp 21.4.  Grand Victor continued extending his lead entering the turn cutting the half in 45 flat.  Rafael Bejarano continued to ride with confidence only using hand urging through the wire.  Grand Victor did get a little tired in the last furlong, but maintained well.  The final margin of victory for Grand Victor was six and a quarter lengths.  He covered the six furlong distance in a solid 1:10.4 and collected $17,010 for the victory.
