In the last race of the Woodbine meet, Hey Hey Mama came from off the pace to score by two lengths in a seven-furlong claiming event. A four-year-old daughter of Rock Hard Ten, this victory was her second over the Woodbine Polytrack.
Trainer Mark Casse said, “She was much the best tonight. Last time out she wasn’t 100% cranked up and got tired. Patrick (Husbands) said she really took off when he asked her.”
Says Terry Finley, “We had some bad luck with this filly over the summer with races not going and such after she broke her maiden. It was a patience tester for sure, but it’s nice to see back in good form and back in the winner’s circle.”
Future plans for Hey Hey Mama will be determined within the next few days.
