The dark bay colt from the first crop of Preakness winner Cloud Computing delivered a “wow” breeze at OBS, cat-hopping through an eighth of a mile in 9 4/5. Time is one thing, but the way he did it put him in rarified air. This was no all-out speedball, he glided over the surface with huge strides, triggering a whopping 89 BreezeFig.
“That’s the highest breeze figure I’ve ever seen at one of these 2-year-olds in training sales, and that not only encompasses stride length but other biometric data that is encompassed in that ‘special sauce,’” Jeff Lifson said. “He is a tall, leggy, powerful-looking colt. To go that fast looking like he does, it is not something you see every day— he is not a little scooter, he is a big, big hoss.”
In the 2017 Preakness, Cloud Computing defeated West Point’s very own Kentucky Derby hero Always Dreaming. Cloud Computing is a son of Maclean’s Music, whose reputation continues to grow in stature for imparting speed and brilliance. West Point and John Sadler can attest to that with our unbeaten 3-year-old filly Unbridled Mary. Maclean’s Music also is the sire of defending champion male sprinter Jackie’s Warrior.
Price includes all acquisition costs and all training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2023.
He had hands down, the best pre-sale breeze of any horse at OBS March. I love the colt. If he’s by a proven sire like Into Mischief or Tapit, I’m pretty confident he tops the sale.
