Sold Out
From the greatest sire in the world, and a dazzling female family, comes the Keeneland September sale topper, this superstar Into Mischief colt we were fortunate enough to bring home on Day 2 of the marquee sale. If you’re looking for a home run stallion prospect, Hip 261 is that colt.
Into Mischief, sire of a staggering 132 stakes winners and counting, along with seven champions, only gets appointments with the most outstanding mares, and this stunning colt’s dam Nonna Mia fits the bill. A jaw-dropping 12-length maiden winner at Belmont the daughter of excellent broodmare sire Empire Maker went on to place in the Grade I Frizette Stakes and several other black-type events before entering owner Mike Repole’s broodmare band.
Since then, she’s produced multiple stakes horses, including Outwork, a Grade I winner as a 3-year-old who has established himself as a successful sire at WinStar Farm. She also is responsible for Nonna Bella, who in turn foaled Fierceness, arguably the most impressive maiden winner at the recently-concluded Saratoga meet when lighting up the Spa with an 11 1/4-length romp on Travers Eve, good for a 95 Beyer Speed Figure.
Further down in the pedigree, multiple stakes-winning second dam Holy Bubbette produced another successful stallion, Cairo Prince, who captured graded stakes as a 2-year-old and 3-year-old during his racing career.
Physically, Hip 261 is an absolute beast. With an enormous walk and phenomenal muscle tone for any horse, let alone a yearling, the blaze-faced bay is also balanced perfectly and carries himself with tremendous confidence and class. Simply put, he’s the total package.
Syndication price includes all veterinary, training, acquisition, and legal costs through January 1, 2025.
