SOLD OUT
Steve Asmussen just finished an awe-inspiring meet at Saratoga that included four Grade 1 sprint wins, and this colt fits him to a T, oozing speed and athleticism.
An A+ nick, the colt comes from the second crop of Practical Joke, who has already been represented by a sharp Graded stakes winner in Wit, who won the Sanford Stakes (G2) at the Spa and finished second to Asmussen’s Gunite in the Grade 1 Hopeful.
And West Point already has a good vibe with the female side of this colt’s pedigree: it produced WPT’s El Gato Malo, a former star 2 and 3-year-old for the stable, including Graded stakes wins at Santa Anita and Lone Star.
Price includes all acquisition costs and all training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2023.
This is a really athletic horse who fell under the radar on the third day of the Keeneland Sale. He’s the perfect fit for Steve, I can clearly envision him all braided up and being in the paddock at Saratoga next summer.
