Star Colt Heading to Hall of Famer
SOLD OUT
If you joined our yearling kickoff webinar, you heard David Ingordo say, “I found the one.” Well, this is the one. Deemed one of the nicest yearlings Ingordo has seen over the past several years, this Twirling Candy colt out of rehearsed is a rockstar.
Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen was all smiles on the Saratoga sales grounds after learning he was chosen to condition the grandson of Tapit.
The colt is a leggy, two-turn dirt horse, the kind we need in the stable to compete in the Triple Crown and lucrative older handicap races.
“If we took a vote with everybody on the farm about who their favorite yearling is, I am pretty certain this colt would come out on top,” said Lane’s End’s Allaire Ryan. “He’s so beautiful, and you should see him gallop out in the field. He can fly.”
Twirling Candy has been on a strong run as a sire. To date, he’s sired 15 graded stakes winners, including 8 grade one winners from eight crops of racing age. Leading runners include Gift Box, Rombauer, Pinehurst, and Concrete Rose.
He’s a full brother to stakes performer Chasing Fireflies. The mare is a half-sister to GI Spinaway S. Mani Bhavan (Storm Boot) from the extended family of champion Silken Cat (Storm Cat), dam of Speightstown.
Syndication price includes all veterinary, training, acquisition, and legal costs through January 1, 2025.
