War of Will Colt

    • Eligible for lucrative NY-bred races

    • War of Will a grade 1 winner on dirt and turf

    • Pedigree indicates soundness and longevity

This handsome registered New York-bred colt is from the first crop of Preakness winner War of Will.

War of Will, by War Front, showed precocity as a 2-year-old and just got better and better as he developed. Very few sires are grade one winners on both dirt (Preakness Stakes) and turf (Maker’s Mark Mile).

Take a look at his female family. His dam, by Quiet American, has produced seven foals of racing age, all winners, with five earning six figures. The six stateside progeny raced a combined 178 times — that screams soundness and longevity! The colt is bred on a similar cross as three grade one winners, including Annapolis and Civil Union.

Under his third dam, you’ll see two very familiar names who raced on the New York circuit — stakes winners Gantry and Central Banker. And you’ll also see Voodoo Zip, a hard-knocking West Point stakes competitor who has earned nearly 350k.

“He was my pick of the sale,” said bloodstock agent David Ingordo. “A big, grand two-turn horse who will only improve. I’m a big fan of War of Will — his yearlings have a lot of quality.”

Syndication price includes all veterinary, training, acquisition, and legal costs through January 1, 2025.
