Kanagaro was making his second start for trainer Graham Motion after shipping to the Midatlantic from South Florida.

“This horse seldom throws in a clunker, but had a case of second and third-itis,” says WPT president Terry Finley. “Going into this race he had one win, three seconds, and eight thirds from 17 starts. It’s nice to see him get back into the winner’s circle. The drop in class helped him and we always thought he’d handle the synthetic being by Indian Charlie.”
