New Stakes Filly Pointing for Santa Ysabel / Friday, February 7, 2014

WPT acquired an interest in stakes placed 3-year-old filly Anniversary Kitty last week and she sold out in less than 24 hours.

This near black filly broke her maiden in polished fashion in December at Hollywood Park before running lights out in the Cal Cup Oaks at Santa Anita on January 25. After breaking from post 14, she was wide most of the way before closing like a freight train to get up for second.

We’re excited about the possibility of her dirt debut in the $100,000 Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3) on March 1 at Santa Anita. This is the local prep for the grade one Santa Anita Oaks. As a Cal-bred, she’s eligible for the lucrative Golden State series as well.
