Adam Man extended his win streak to three on 8/14 defeating five opponents in the "non-winners of two other than" allowance going a mile and an eighth at Ellis Park. Breaking from the outside post, Adam Man broke well and quickly used his natural speed to get right into contention. Adam was however fanned four wide and had to work a little bit to get the lead. By the time the field was midway through the first turn, Adam had gained the lead. Adam cut the first quarter in 23.4 while being pressed from the inside. Midway down the backstretch, Adam was pressed hard from the inside, but Jockey Jose Martinez Jr. metered out a little more speed from Adam allowing him to open back a clear lead by over a length while still under a hold. The half-mile went in 47. Martinez rode Adam very confidently all the way down the backstretch keeping him under a hold and relaxed. As Adam turned for home he opened up a three-length lead and was never challenged in the stretch. Jose Martinez kept Adam to task, and he held sway through the lane winning by over two-lengths.
Adam Man earned $21,010 for the victory pushing his earnings over $62,000 and improving his career record to 3 wins and a second from five career starts.
