, a two-year-old daughter of Old Trieste
, made her two turn debut a winning one on October 4th at Keeneland, earning a photo finish victory. Breaking from post five in the field, Ellieonthemarch did not get away very from the quickly from the gate, but this allowed her to assume rail position heading into the first turn. Ellie advanced to midpack through the first turn while well in hand under jockey Shaun Bridgmohan. Bridgmohan eased Ellie off the rail down the backstretch to keep her out of trouble. Ellie sat sixth about three lengths off the lead after a half-mile that went in 48.4. Bridgmohan swung Ellie four wide into the turn and commenced her rally. Ellie exploded through the turn while traveling four wide and assumed the lead at the head of the stretch. Ellie looked to be clear putting away a challenge from the outside, but Ellie lost a little focus and got a tad tired from traveling wide on her sweeping move and had to withstand a rally on the rail from a filly that she had put away. However, Ellie won the photo finish and collected $31,225 for the victory.
