Get Down remains undefeated
Get Down, West Point's two-year-old son of Doneraile Court, remained undefeated crushing an allowance field on November 20th at Woodbine. Trained by Nancy Triola, Get Down showed a ton of versatility by rallying from last to win by over four-lengths while in hand.
Nancy Triola said, "We'd designed a couple of his works between races to get him to relax, and he probably relaxed better than even I thought he would. When Slade ask him, he said he accelerated beautifully. He never even had to cock his whip, and he practically drug him back to the winner's circle afterwards."
Breaking from post five, Get Down got away in good order and settled in fifth about three-lengths back while under a hold from jockey Slade Callaghan. The quarter went in 23 flat. Get Down remained in fifth, two-lengths back, after a half-mile 46.3. Slade Callaghan gave Get Down his cue on the turn, and he exploded through the turn while travelling three wide to gain the lead at the top of the stretch. Get Down continued to widen his lead through the stretch while only under a hand ride. Get Down's final margin of victory was four and one-quarter lengths.
Get Down will now ship to Florida for a winter campaign at Gulfstream.
