West Point Thoroughbreds's three-year-old filly Yolanda B. Too will contest in the $2,000,000 Breeders' Cup Distaff(G1) on October 29th, at Belmont Park. The Breeders' Cup Distaff attracts the top mares and fillies in the world.
Yolanda enters the Breeders' Cup off back to back placings in graded stakes. Trained by Rick Violette, our three-year-old daughter of Two Punch has never been off the board in five career starts. In her last race, Yolanda lost by a very tight photo finish in the $300,000 Cotillion Handicap(G2). She is putting together a very impressive career earning $148,400 in her five starts.
West Point President Terry Finley said, "We know this is the highest level of racing in the world, but if you're an owner this is what you strive for. Yolanda has stepped up each time we've asked her to, and you never know if you'll get a chance to get them back there again. We'll take our shot, and we're going there to win. If we didn't think we had a chance we wouldn't be doing this. Yolanda belongs, and we're confident she'll make us proud."
