In A Blaze O' Glory romped home to over a ten-length victory on February 27th at Philadelphia Park. In A Blaze O' Glory broke extremely sharply, dueled for the lead through the first quarter-mile and then widened at every call under a hand ride to score an easy win.

Trainer Lupe Preciado said, "We looked like the class on paper, and I told Carlos (Cruz) to keep the horse outside and away from any trouble.  This horse doesn't really like being around other horses, so I wanted him to be close to the front.  I thought we were the best horse, and I wanted him to control the race.  The horse will keep running if he doesn't get in trouble, so when he got to the lead he just put them away.  We just have to put him in spots where he can have things his own way."

Jockey Carlos Cruz said, "It was the easiest kind of ride.  Lupe told me to keep him close, and try to go on with it.  I did that, and the horse did the rest."
