West Point Thoroughbreds' Flashy Bull, a three-year-old son of Holy Bull is scheduled to run in the $300,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) on March 4th at <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Gulfstream Park. He has drawn the very tough #10 post out of 10 with Rafael Bejarano aboard for the trip. West Point Thoroughbred's President Terry Finley commented "The 10 hole is a very tough post at Gulfstream, not many horses have won from that spot at this meet. I think Flashy Bull is talented enough to over come it and if you want to compete at the highest level you are going to have to overcome all the obstacles".<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Flashy Bull broke his maiden in impressive style in October at Belmont Park, and solidified his credentials as a Kentucky Derby (G1) contender by running second in the Remsen Stakes (G2) last November at Aqueduct.

After getting a brief period of time off, Flashy Bull enters the Fountain of Youth off a solid fourth place finish in the Holy Bull Stakes (G3) on February 4th at Gulfstream.

Flashy Bull's trainer Kiaran McLaughlin is optimistic about Flashy Bull's prospects, "We didn't have him fully cranked up for his last race.  Our goal was to run respectably, and give ourselves the opportunity to move on to the next step.  We did that, and he has trained superbly since then.  He hasn't missed a beat.  If we're good enough, then we'll be right there on Saturday.  He's a real easy horse to get along with, but you have to stay after him a little bit in his training.  He's sometimes a little lazy, so his last race should do him a world of good."

The Fountain of Youth Stakes on March 4th will be a big test to see how Flashy Bull stacks up to some of the top three year olds in the country.  Post time for the race is 5:29 PM EST.
