Megapunch romped to a nearly fourteen length victory in the MSW race going six furlongs on April 9th at Keeneland.  He broke sharply and rocketed to the front over the speed favoring track to widen at every pole and absolutely demoralize the field in 1:10 flat.  The time for the race was only a couple ticks slower than what the runaway winner of the Lafayette Stakes went in.  Megapunch has shown lots of talent, and despite still running a little greenly in the stretch today, he absolutely dominated a strong field.

Trainer, Dallas Stewart said, "He was absolutely jumping out of his skin coming into today's race.  With the way he had been running in Florida and the way this track was playing, I thought he'd run his eyeballs out.  The only question you have at Keeneland is who is going to be running with you.  They all come running here, and you don't know what kind of monster you might catch.  Well, today we were the monster, and the other horses won't forget it.  We faced some really nice horses down in Florida, and we ran right with them."

Jockey, Mark Guidry said, "This colt is one tough hombre.  He was a lot easier to steer today with the new bit.  He broke like a shot and just ran them off their feet."

Megapunch has one win, two seconds and a third in his four starts. He increased his earnings to $42,350.
