Brendolyn took to the turf like a monster scoring an impressive win in the "a other than" allowance on September 3rd at Del Mar.  Making her first start on the turf and going two turns, Brendolyn was taken back into a reserved position along the rail early.  The early pace was pretty swift as the eventual runner-up cut out uncontested fractions on 22.2 and 46 flat.  Tyler Baze was able to advance Brendolyn on the inside while saving ground.  Brendolyn advanced into second at the top of the stretch, and Tyler Baze swung her outside into the clear.  When Baze asked her, Brendolyn unleashed a powerful kick and gunned past the pacesetter in the last sixteenth of a mile to draw off to nearly a three-length score.  Brendolyn stopped the timer for a mile in a sharp 1:33.4

Craig Dollase said, "She beat some good fillies in here.  This was a really nice race for her.  Any horse that can go under 1:34 is running a big race.  She was asked to answer a lot of questions today.  She was trying the turf, and she was going two turns for the first time.  She passed both tests with flying colors.  Tyler gave her a picture perfect ride, and it could not have worked out any better."

Tyler Baze said, "I love this filly.  She loved the surface in a big way.  She gives you everything each time, and she just loves to win.  All I had to do was ask her, and she did the rest."

Brendolyn appears to have cooled out well after the race.  She's run hard twice at Del Mar, so Craig will let her regroup a little bit, and then look to run her back at the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita.

She was given a Beyer Speed Figure of 88 and earned $37,800 for her efforts bringing her career earning to an impressive $89,640.
