Precocious Penny scored with a sweeping move in the stretch to win the "a other than" allowance on September 17th at Woodbine.  Precocious Penny also set the new track record at six furlongs on the new Polytrack.  Obviously they've only been racing on the surface for a week, but it's pretty neat to see Penny's name as the track record holder on the chart.  Penny got a clean trip this time, and she was not to be denied.  Penny has now strung together two wins and a hard luck third in her last three starts and seems to have come into her own nicely this summer.

Nancy Triola said, "She ran a winning race last time and got stopped in traffic.  She ran a winning race today, and nobody was going to stop her.  This filly will run when you ask her, but she doesn't like to be rushed early.  Todd (Kabel) did a nice job letting her settle early.  When he swung her out on the turn she got a clear run, and she took off.  It couldn't have shaped up any better for her.  We had a contested pace up front, they went fast, and our filly settled perfectly.  When the speed came back, she was ready to pounce.  We just need to keep her nice and relaxed, and we'll be alright."

Precocious Penny earned $33,671 for her effort bringing her career total to $67,142.
