The records continue to fall for West Point Thoroughbreds.  Earlier this month, we broke our single year record for wins.  Next, it was the number of runners hitting the board in a single year.  Today, we broke our single year record for purses earned with a victory by RJ's Brigade in a maiden special weight race at Aqueduct.

West Point Thoroughbreds President Terry Finley summed it up saying, "I couldn't think of a better day to break this record than Thanksgiving.  On a day when we all come together with family and friends to celebrate and give thanks, we at West Point Thoroughbreds have to give thanks for this absolutely amazing year.  We've been fortunate to have a lot of good horses and the backing of tremendous Partners.  Without that and a ton of hard work by the West Point Thoroughbreds staff this record would not be possible.  We aim for new highs every year, and to achieve a new record for wins and purses with still more than a month to go in the year is humbling."

West Point Thoroughbreds' earnings now stand at $1,304,331 for the year eclipsing the old high of $1,301,224 set in 2004.
