Gracie Jo won for the second straight time on November 30th at Delta Downs. She broke like a rocket once again and scored an authoritative wire to wire victory in her first start against winners. Facing a field of six Louisiana bred "a other than" fillies; Gracie once again beat the break and sprinted to a quick two-length advantage. After cutting a quick quarter-mile in 21.4, Gracie ran the rest of the field off their feet widening her advantage at every pole. By the time Gracie hit the wire, she was in front by over seven-lengths.

Trainer Sherm Savoie said, "The filly is just a rocket from the gate. Curt (Bourque) said that she got out of there so quickly and was going easily. Even though they went really fast early, Curt said the filly came back to him and relaxed well.  She just ran them into the ground in the first quarter-mile and they were never coming to her. She got a little tired, but she was much the best. She's a tough filly at five furlongs."

Gracie Jo is being pointed for the $100,000 Louisiana Premier Night Matron on February 3rd at Delta Downs. That's a five furlong stake race restricted to Louisiana bred fillies and mares, and there's no doubt Gracie will be extremely tough.

Gracie Jo earned $18,600 for her efforts bringing her career total up to $45,095.
