Flashy Bull Wins!!!

March 04, 2007 · By · Share Flashy Bull returned to the winner's circle on March 4th with a determined front running effort in an "a other than" allowance race at Gulfstream Park.  Flashy Bull was outsprinted through the first fifty yards, but then he pushed up on the inside to skirmish for the early lead.  He was third, only a half-length back through a quarter-mile in 22.2.  Flashy Bull then assumed command midway down the backstretch and withstood constant pressure to open up on the turn and hold sway throughout the stretch under confident handling.

Kiaran McLaughlin said, "I was a little concerned by the rail, but it worked out pretty well.  Fernando (Jara) has been riding with a lot of confidence, and he handled Flashy Bull really well.  Flashy Bull is a grinder.  He will continue on for you, and he showed that today.  He made the front, and when those colts tried to launch a bid on him on the turn he outlasted them.  They couldn't maintain their move, and we got the job done.  It is real nice to get him back in the win column."

Flashy Bull earned $24,000 for his win bringing his career total to an impressive $231,650. Kiaran will give Flashy Bull a little time and then look to run him back late at the Gulfstream meet in a "two other than".
