Psychotic Reaction romps!!!

March 11, 2007 · By · Share Psycotic Reaction won the 14k claimer race on March 11th at Aqueduct. In a race lacking any real speed on paper, Psychotic Reaction went to the front and never looked back. Adding blinkers, Psychotic Reaction was sharp from the gate.  Jockey Mike Luzzi pushed Psychotic Reaction to the front, and he was able to set a modest first quarter-mile in 23.2. He clipped off another reasonable second quarter to get the half in 46.4. Psychotic Reaction opened up at the top of the stretch.  Jockey Mike Luzzi tapped Psychotic Reaction once, and he opened up through the lane to win in hand by just over five-lengths.

Rick's assistant Rusty said, "Mike (Luzzi) told me he sent him and then just had to hold on. We looked at the race and thought we might be on the lead. When we made it he just went on.  There wasn't much pace on paper, so if you can get on the lead you'll get in the least trouble. That's exactly how it unfolded, and we proved to be the best."

Psychotic Reaction earned $12,600 for the win. This was a good win for Psychotic Reaction.
