West Point TB Pinhook wins Bluegrass Stakes(G1)
Dominican, purchased by West Point Thoroughbreds as a yearling and pinhooked as a two-year-old in training, won the $750,000 Toyota Bluegrass Stakes(G1) on April 14th at Keeneland.
Dominican was purchased for $70,000 as a yearling at the Fasig-Tipton October sale in 2005 as part of a venture with West Point Thoroughbreds Partner Don Brooks and Nick Cammarano.
Dominican resold for $150,000 at the OBS March Select sale in 2006 to current owner Silverton Hill LLC.
A son of El Corredor, Dominican has earned over $596,000 from seven career starts and is considered one of the top contenders for this year's Kentucky Derby.
West Point Thoroughbreds has gone back to the well with another son of El Corredor, syndicating an exciting two-year-old colt that will be trained by Craig Dollase in California.
