Kiaran McLaughlin to be honored at B.E.S.T. Dinner
West Point Thoroughbreds trainer Kiaran will be recognized as the "B.E.S.T. horseman of the year" at the first annual Simply the B.E.S.T. benefit dinner and dance on May 30th at Hempstead House at Sands Point.
B.E.S.T. is a not-for-profit organization that provides aid and support to the backstretch workers in New York. As the B.E.S.T. motto states, their goal is "taking care of the people that take care of the horses."
West Point Thorouhgbreds' Rich Cristiano is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for B.E.S.T. He said, "We are honored to celebrate the wonderful year that Kiaran had. He is a dedicated horseman who demands excellence in every aspect of his operation. He is a tremendously classy person, and we could not have chosen a better individual to honor at the first annual Simply the Best dinner."
Cristiano continued, "This dinner is extremely important for B.E.S.T. We have many backstretch workers who deserve all the support we can give them. We have not been able to do as much we would like, so this fundraiser will be critical in making all of our visions a reality."
Tickets for the event are $250 each. For more event information, contact Joanne K. Adams, NYRA special events coordinator at (718) 659-2262 or e-mail [email protected]
