Cat On The Line wins!!!
Cat On The Line got the job done breaking his maiden in determined fashion at Churchill Downs. After running a game second last time out, Cat On The Line wore down the leaders late in his latest effort to win going away. Cat On The Line sat off of a contentious early pace battle tracking in midpack through a first quarter-mile in 21.4. Robby Albarado gave Cat On The Line a nudge at the three-eighths pole and he moved up nicely on the outside. He continued his steady advance on the outside then kicked on under steady handling inside the eighth pole to pull clear and win by nearly two-lengths.
Dallas Stewart said, "That was a good race. Maybe he's learning a little bit and becoming a better horse. Robby (Albarado) said that the horse settled nicely for him. They were going fast up front, and he didn't want to rush him into that. He said the horse made a nice run when he asked him. He had to get after him with the stick in the last furlong, but the horse went on. This was his best race. Maybe the light bulb went on some."
