Cat On The Line wins

January 12, 2008 · By · Share

Cat On The Line got a perfect stalking trip before advancing nearly five wide on the turn and exploding through the stretch to draw off to a four-length victory at Philadelphia Park.  Making his second start for trainer Lupe Preciado, Cat On The Line broke sharply and settled into fourth place early for jockey Carlos Cruz.  Cat On The Line remained in fourth place through the first half-mile then rallied strongly through the lane to score the convincing victory.

Lupe Preciado said, "That was a very nice race.  Carlos (Cruz) said he got a perfect trip.  The horse settled for him then gave him a nice run when he asked him.  There's not much to say.  He was too good today."

A four-year-old son of Tale Of The Cat, Cat On The Line scored his second win and pushed his career earnings over $41,000.
