West Point Thoroughbreds has nominated seven horses to the 2008 Triple Crown.  The seven nominees ties West Point for third in the nation in terms of nominees.

West Point Thoroughbreds President Terry Finley said, "We're delighted to have such a talented crop of three-year-olds.  We made the Kentucky Derby two years ago, but we certainly want to get back.  This year's nominees consist of proven horses like graded stakes winner El Gato Malo and graded stakes placed Wincat as well as horses with tremendous potential like impressive maiden winners Saratoga Russell and Kohana.  This is a game of dreams, and the Triple Crown races are the dream we all have."

Finley continued, "This year's road to the Kentucky Derby is very special to us.  We had a remarkable year in 2007, and we have started 2008 with the same kind of success.  To have one of the top Kentucky Derby contenders in the country, El Gato Malo, is a dream come true for the stable and his Partners."

The seven nominated horses are: El Gato Malo, Grand Vow, Kohana, Lieutenant Ron, Macho Again, Saratoga Russell, and Wincat.
