High Finance ready for LeVine Handicap
High Finance will make his 2008 debut in the $200,000 Donald LeVine Memorial Handicap on Saturday at Philadelphia Park. High Finance will also make his first start for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. High Finance drew post position four of eight in the race with jockey Harry Vega aboard.
Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin said, "High Finance is a very talented horse. He has trained superbly heading into this race, but this is a pretty salty group of horses. You've got graded stakes winners and listed stakes winners complimented by some improving allowance horses. We will have to have our running shoes on against this group, but High Finance can be as fast as any horse in the country when he's at his best. I am glad to have him in my barn and look forward to a great summer campaign with him."
A five-year-old son of Talk Is Money, High Finance is the winner of the 2007 Tom Fool Handicap(G2). He has five wins, three seconds and a third from seventeen career starts. His career earnings stand at over $296,000.
