Terry Finley re-elected to Breeders' Cup Board

July 17, 2008 · By · Share

West Point Thoroughbreds President Terry Finley has been re-elected to the Breeders' Cup board of directors.  The new term, which begins in September, will run for two years.  Finley is one of thirteen members on the board of directors.  Directors are elected by the 46 individual Breeders' Cup board of members and trustees.

Finley commented on his re-election saying, "It is a distinct honor and privilege to serve another term on the board of directors.  We have made tremendous strides over the past two years, and I look forward to continuing our agenda to not only strengthen the Breeders' Cup but the entire sport.  Horse racing is my livelihood, so I have a vested interest to make the sport absolutely the best it can be.  We must work daily to ensure that everything is done to grow our sport at all levels.  It starts with attracting fans, but it also includes increasing opportunities for owners, breeders and horsemen alike.  I look forward to having a continued voice on the board of directors."
