Speed Dating wins

October 10, 2008 · By · Share

Sometimes it's as simple as the surface they run on.  Such was the case for our two-year-old, Speed Dating, who took to the lawn like a fish takes to water.  Speed Dating broke on top in a NY Bred MSW at Belmont Park.  She set the early pace and improved her position from there to the wire.  Her final margin of victory was a smashing eight-lengths.

Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin said, "I guess she likes the turf.  She couldn't have run much better.  Alan (Garcia) put her in a good position early, and he got her to relax on the front end.  When he asked her for run she had plenty in the tank.  She just kept going.  She showed us that she can run a little bit.  We'll see if we can find her a race at Aqueduct next."

A two-year-old daughter of Not For Love, Speed Dating now has earnings of over $33,000 from three career starts.
