Justwhistledixie Early Favorite for Kentucky Oaks

Following her eye-popping performance in the G2 Davona Dale, Justwhistledixie stamped herself as more than just the 'Queen of New York,' she became known as one of the best three-year-old fillies in the country.  As a result, she was listed among the 23 individual betting interests in the Kentucky Oaks Futures Wager, which began on Thursday and as of this writing, she is the current favorite at 9/5.

Originially listed as the 12-1 fourth individual choice, 'Dixie has become the prohibitive favorite in the wager, which runs through Sunday.  Stardom Bound and Rachel Alexandra are the next two choices at 9/2 and 5-1, respectively.

Also this week, the Kentucky Oaks website is currently featuring Justwhistledixie as one of only three horses a top the page as contenders for the race.  They have also created a page devoted to 'Dixie, which can be seen by clicking here.  The page features race replays, pedigree information, as well as commentary from Churchill Downs handicapper Jill Byrne.

"It's an exciting time of year and I'm glad she's with us," said West Point Thoroughbreds President Terry Finley.  "She's really moved forward nicely, and we're obviously thrilled with her progress and development."

Justwhistledixie is scheduled to make her next start in the G2 Bonnie Miss on March 27th at Gulfstream Park.
