Amazed By Grace Wins!

September 29, 2009 · By · Share

Amazed By Grace, how sweet the sound, of a WIN. Winning is indeed sweet. Our three-year-old filly Amazed By Grace amazed us with her second career victory in a Philadelphia Park allowance event on Monday. The daughter of Bowman's Band broke well and stalked the swift pace through fractions of 21.59 and 44.71. She took aim on the lead at the top of the stretch, dueled with her rival, and edged clear in the lane to score by a decisive two lengths. The final time for the five furlongs was 57.62.

Trainer Guadalupe Preciado was thrilled with the performance. "Giving this filly time to grow and mature was the best thing to do. She has come back bigger, stronger, and better. We are going to have a fun fall with her.  She proved how speedy she is today."

Jockey Victor Molina said, "Lupe told me to just let her roll. She has such a long stride that I didn't even have to push her. She felt great underneath me. When I asked her for more, she responded and drew clear. This is a fast filly."

Amazed By Grace earned $27,000 for the victory. She now has two wins and a third from four career starts. We hope to make it three in a row later in October.
