A win is a win no matter if its by 10 lengths, one length, a head, or a nose. West Point Thoroughbreds' Izzy Fitzy
made it up in the shadow of the wire to win at Philadelphia Park on Tuesday. The son of West Point stakes runner Seattle Fitz (Arg)
saved ground early in the six and one half furlong contest before advancing steadily in the final quarter mile. He was all out under jockey Tony Black
to prevail by a nose. The final time for the race was 1:17.09. Izzy Fitzy was claimed by trainer Andrea Gonzalez.
Trainer Guadalupe Preciado said, "He tried hard and was all out to get the win. We had some good races with him. He was a useful horse."
Izzy Fitzy earned $16,200 for the triumph. We wish him and his new connections the best of luck in the future.
