Amazed By Grace Makes It 4 In A Row!

November 09, 2009 · By · Share

Counting is a basic skill.  We count money.  We count birthdays.  We count wins.  Wait.  What? We count wins? We do when we own a filly like Amazed By Grace.  1-2-3-4.  Four races, that's what her win streak stands at after crushing the "three other than" allowance at Philadelphia Park on Sunday.

Amazed By Grace broke well and went right to the front.  She set a pressured pace of 22 flat and 44.3.  When challenged on the turn she drew off to open a daylight lead at the top of the stretch and extended her lead to the wire winning by four and a half lengths and stopping the teletimer in a sharp 1:09.1 for six furlongs.

Trainer Guadalupe Preciado said, "What can I say? She ran great.  I am just trying to keep her happy and healthy.  She's doing everything we've asked of her.  She's a fast filly."

Jockey Victor Molina said, "This filly is getting better each race.  She got distracted by birds on the track so I tapped her twice, but I didn't have to.  I just wanted to keep her focused.  She did this all by herself.  With her long stride she might even stretch out further."

Amazed By Grace now has four wins from six lifetime starts and earnings just shy of $110,000. We will look to make it five in a row next time out for this three-year-old daughter of Bowman's Band. It looks like stakes company may be in store in the near future for this speedy filly.
